will Holland win world cup 2010

will Holland win world cup 2010???

'People underestimate it,' he said. 'In 1998 and the 1970s those teams couldn't really do any more than they did. But this team doesn't have to do that much and they are winning.

'Nobody really expected them to go all the way to the final. In the past Dutch teams have been quite unlucky but this time luck has been totally on their side. Holland can go all the way. They feel ready to win.'
Much has been made of Holland's pragmatic approach during this World Cup but Seedorf believes the Dutch haven't yet been forced into playing exciting football.

The AC Milan midfielder said: 'They have done what they needed to do. They have showed 100 per cent discipline, haven't given away bad goals and demonstrated their mental concentration and strength. These are aspects that are fundamental. We can talk about nice football, beautiful football, but that hasn't got the Dutch anywhere in the past. From a mental perspective, this team entered the tournament with a clear goal: it wasn't about playing beautiful football; it was about winning games.
'There's belief and organisation and all the key elements. They haven't really been challenged to play good football but when they were challenged in the quarter-final against Brazil, they came back very strongly. They grew within the game and that says a lot about how the Dutch have played in this tournament.'
Seedorf believes that Holland's 25-match unbeaten streak can only breed confidence and praised coach Bert van Marwijk for instilling self-belief in his players.
The 58-year-old has been consistent in his selection since taking over from Marco van Basten in 2008. While this may have been to the detriment of Seedorf, who would have liked to have added to his 87 caps in South Africa, it has created a team who play for each other.

Seedorf said: 'You have to give great credit to Van Marwijk. You have to give your players confidence and you can see the best players in the team have that. They feel free and they enjoy that.

'Unfortunately, I wasn't a part of it but you can't have everything.
'It's not a team of great names, but it's a team that has been playing together for four years. They trust each other and it shows.
'But if you look at the four strikers - Van Persie, Robben, Kuyt and Sneijder - that's where the quality comes in. These players play for the big teams and are used to this level of football.'
Back in Holland people have been 'dancing in the streets, singing and swimming in the canals' according to Seedorf.
'The atmosphere's been like when I won the Champions League with Ajax in 1995. It's a good way to unite the country.'
